Planning the long drive

It's a long day in the car, so plan on an overnight or a very early start. Arriving the afternoon before you ski? Pick up after 3 PM the day before your rental starts — no extra charge. Stop by on your way in and you're ready for first chair.

Winter driving

NM-150 is a two-lane mountain road. Check conditions on NMRoads before you leave and give yourself extra time when it's snowing.

Parking and the free shuttle

Park in the Taos Ski Valley lot and ride the free shuttle to the base. Our shop is a short walk from the shuttle drop-off, and from our door it's about 50 yards from the Gondolita and 100 yards from Lift 1.

Lot and shuttle details can change through the season, so check skitaos.com before you go.

For lift tickets, lodging, and road conditions, see our trip resources.

Why the shuttle works in your favor

The shuttle drops you at the base, a short walk from our counter. On your first morning, come in street shoes. Your gear is already sized, tuned, and staged, so you give your name, try your boots, and head for the lifts.

At the end of the day, leave your skis or board with us. Overnight storage is free with every rental, so you're not hauling gear back to the lot or onto the shuttle. The next morning, it's racked and ready.

Picking up your gear

Gear reserved online for Taos is picked up at the counter at the base of Taos Ski Valley. The address is 101 Sutton Place, Taos Ski Valley, NM 87525. Pick up after 3 PM the day before your rental starts — no extra charge.

Reserve at least 24 hours ahead and we'll have everything ready. No deposit, and you pay at pickup.
